Anjarle Beach may not be among the most famous destinations on the Konkan coastline, but its beauty is truly unparalleled. Fringed with swaying palms, lush trees, and bordered by the serene estuary of the Jog River, Anjarle offers a slice of nature at its purest.

Located about five hours from Mumbai and Pune, Anjarle remains relatively untouched by heavy tourism, making it a peaceful retreat. The beach is especially known for its annual Turtle Festival held in April and May, where the endangered Olive Ridley turtle hatchlings are released into the sea at sunrise around 6:30 AM — a heartwarming experience you shouldn’t miss.

Beyond its natural wonders, Anjarle also offers a few water sports activities (Aksa Marine Sports - 8669999300), including exciting boat rides to spot playful dolphins in their natural habitat.

The sunset at Anjarle is simply magical. As the sun dips into the horizon and the waves dance to the shore, time seems to pause — gifting you a moment of pure bliss.

Accommodation here mainly consists of homestays that serve delicious local Maharashtrian cuisine, both seafood and vegetarian options. Rooms are basic but comfortable, with choices between AC and non-AC setups to suit the weather and your budget.

During our visit, we stayed at Durvankur Homestay, where Mr. Roshan Todankar (+91-9637694840) and his family extended warm hospitality and made our stay memorable.
Alcohol isn’t freely available in the area, though a few homestays may discreetly serve it upon request.
A short visit to the nearby Kadyawarcha Ganpati temple — perched atop a cliff — adds a spiritual touch to the trip, offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea.
